1	c	Shortening (Crisco Golden)
1	c	Brown sugar
1/4	c	White granulated sugar
2		Eggs -- beaten
1	ts	Baking soda
	pn	Salt
1	c	Chocolate chips
3/4	c	Slivered almonds
2	c	Flour

Cream shortening with sugar. Add eggs. Add baking soda to flour and slowly mix with creamed shortening. Add chips and almonds. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until golden.
